I got this bed pad for the back of my jeep so my pooch can have a comfy ride and the bed won't fly out the car (like previous blankets) when I have the top down.It is so soft and as described.This fits perfectly in our puppy's crate and she has used it for the past few weeks and has not chewed it at all. Filled out nicely after unpacking, was able to use it the next day.I have 5 dogs and they love this one almost as much as me. It is soft and large and they adore it as much as the stress relieving circle bed. I can move it around to the living room, bedroom, and car without any issue. They do not chew on it and it is easily washable. 10/10Fido fell for it within minutes. I detect that he is sleeping well and long also.My dog isn’t much of a chewer, so i cannot attest to how ‘chew proof’ this bed is. he doesn’t even chew up his toys. he has a soft bite and won’t chew anything voraciously, even if he has permission to.Give it some time to fluff up—everyone in my household was amazed that it came in such a compact package. ‘like a mattress in a box’; i told them. they did not believe me.we gave it about 12 hours to fluff up, and all of the lines from being compressed were gone. it’s not going to double in size, but you will see it becoming noticeably less flat. there’s no weird smells to worry about, either.my dog and the other humans were curious and skeptical at first, but it’s now the place the dog goes to instead of our beds or the couch. i take this as a sign this is pretty cozy for him, and i’m happy he enjoys it.this technically isn’t a dog bed. it’s a mat to be placed in a carrier for the dog. i didn’t know that until AFTER i looked at the reviews…after i ordered it.it’s fine, because i like to wash items for the dog frequently anyway. i can stuff this in the washing machine with his blankets and towels and voilà—all doggy’s stuff is clean at once. i love the convenience of this item. i also like that it’s square and rather flat—my dog would twist and contort himself into all kinds of odd positions to fit into regular dog beds with borders or rounded edges. he can just flop onto this mat and he can stretch out—two of his favorite activities. i added blankets, a towel for additional padding, and a little doggy plant…now the dog has his own ‘zen’ corner. it looks cool.i just received it, so i cannot speak to the durability of this item, but i would definitely buy another one without question. it’s also very soft to the touch and has little nubs on the bottom, so you know which side is for your pet and which side is for the floor. it doesn’t slide around, either. dog beds sliding around is a bit of a pain for me—i like that this one doesn’t do that. it really must be magic!Exactly as photographic & described. I was looking for something light weight for my Pit bull to lounge on in the backyard, its perfect. She loves it! Whenever we’re outdoors she goes straight to it, to relax on. I love seeing her nap on it in the cool eveningsLoved it so much I just ordered one for my moms German Shepherd’s kennel.I’ve tried a few crate pads, with mixed results. A couple arrived with their filling material inserts bunched up on one end with no way to open them and make adjustments. One was thicker and, in my view, nicer, but she refused to even sit on it bc it was made of a backpack-like material. The thicker AKC brand one was our go-to, but they’re out of stock, and there’s no way to wash them at home, even with a large front loader—we’d definitely have to go to the laundromat—and she ripped up the last one. So we’ve arrived at these. They fit in our washer and dryer, she will lay down on them without an issue (the fabric is soft), and they’re padded enough that I don’t have concerns about her comfort. They’re a little thicker than I actually expected, nicer than the ones available locally at big box pet supply stores, which was a nice surprise. I do *not* think they’ll be chew-resistant at all, but the previously mentioned mat destruction was a one-time thing bc we had people working in the house and she was having a tantrum, so I’m not super concerned about it.This is the third Magic Dog pad I've purchased. The first two (extra large and medium sizes) were fine, no issues. This one did not inflate evenly so I initiated a replacement order. The second one was better but also did not inflate evenly. A card by Magic Dog enclosed in the packaging invites customers to contact them with any issues, yet they do not include any way to do so (amusing). I went through an Amazon rep who was going to attempt to reach out to Magic Dog explaining the issue. Still no response. I had an immediate need for this pad, so kept it. However, there may be an issue with the large size (which is actually a mid-size pad), so be aware.
