We have a dog with mild canine dementia who is prone to wandering and also is partially deaf and blind (if he gets very far away from us, he can't hear when we call.) We ordered this product as a safety net for him. It is Chinese made and the instructions and the language in the app itself is stilted and tough to follow. However, the customer service is excellent. Access customer service through the app and through text. Response is prompt, polite and helpful. I needed help updating the location and then adding a second person, and got immediate help. The accuracy of the location is very good considering the price point. There may be better products out there, but they are at least twice the cost. For what we needed, it's a great product at a great price.Amazing! Works as advertised! Given that this is the ONLY GPS tracker on Amazon (pet or otherwise) that promises a 30-day battery life and inexpensive service via 5G IoT, I was skeptical. After using it for a week, I am blown away that it works as promised! Some observations: -It requires a 5G network. You will need to look up coverage map in your area. Customer service said the carrier for the Los Angeles area is ATT. When I was in a rural area with a 4G LTE signal but no 5G coverage, it did not work except to relay its position to my phone when within 20 feet by Bluetooth. -Battery life: After 1 week, it is reporting 75% power remaining, so the promised 30-day life is believable. -Setup: Straightforward. It took 10 minutes to install the Android app and enter the settings. 20 minutes later it had connected to the 5G network and was working. -GPS performance: When I ping the device for a location update, it takes 5-10 seconds. It has no problem getting a signal from downstairs in a two-story house with a tile roof. -Customer service: I used the live chat feature within the app and my question was answered right away. -Size and build quality: Both seem good. My 7 pound puppy doesn’t seem bothered to have it on his collar. -The first position fix of a walk can be off by half a block, but a second ping always nails it within about 20 feet. -Service plan price (6/2020): $2.99/month for three years, $3.99 for two years, $4.99 per month for a year, $6.99/month a month at a time.Minor negatives: -It labels the last position as “Currently Located”, even when it is hours or days old. It would be better if it listed the time of the fix. You don’t really know where your dog is until you have clicked to update the position, or it is periodically updated because you are moving. -The feature for finding the device via a direct Bluetooth connection from your phone only reaches 20 feet. It would be useful for finding the device if it were lost in the house or fell off somewhere, but not for finding your dog.Overall, happy with product. Twin 4yr old standard poodles. Very active. Went in pool and river, still working. Charge lasts longer than most on market-which is great. Fast to recharge when needed. Cell coverage could be better. Wish I could get this product with Verizon coverage and not T-mobile. Wish I could set the E-fence for less than 100 meters. My yard is probably half or 1/3 that. The E-fence would tell me my dog has gotten out when she's down the block. When I walk them, I'm all the way around the block and 5 minutes later I get a text...Bluetooth feature is crappy. I am laying next to my dogs and it gives me 1-2 bars out of 5-6 strength. I let the free 30 days run up, now I can not find the renewal online at their website or on my app for the life of me...lolAgain, overall happy, just little things to improve. Needs quicker notifiers, smaller e-fence range, better bluetooth, options of which cellular carrier, easier account access for subscription. If these options were integrated I thing for the price of the device, options/features, etc, your product would be a dominator of the market. With the temporary closure of fully fenced dog parks in early March 2020 due to the pandemic, I have been forced to find an alternative play space for my 14 month old golden retriever puppy. While it has some fencing, it has three exits and on the second trip there she decided to take herself exploring and she wouldn’t come back. Only the intervention of a neighbor prevented her from disappearing into the large city we live in. I looked for a GPS tracker that night. I found this on Amazon. It is very reasonably priced, as is the monthly charge. The device charges by micro USB and lasts about 30 days! I’ve had occasion to contact the manufacturer for support several times and they have been consistently and quickly responsive, and welcoming to my suggestions. There have been the not uncommon hiccups with languages, as they are not native English speakers and I do not speak Mandarin. But they are very eager to work with their customers in other countries and have been very helpful. It was easy to set up and my dog has no idea she’s wearing it. You will get information about not only the location of your dog, but his or her activity level, calorie requirements and duration of activity. You will also get a graph showing activity over a month. You can set up multiple “e-fences” whereby you will be notified if your dog leaves the safe area. Please do consider this item. The low cost alone makes it an obvious choice, and it seems to be as fully featured as any competitors’ product at a much lower price. While I’ve only used it for a month it appears to be sturdy and durable. And it is good looking to boot!I did have a better review, but that changed. She got out when I was home Fortunately that way I didn’t have to be notified or not notified. The whole time I’m out looking for this thing told me she was right where she’s supposed to be it never once said she was out of the area and she was 5 miles away. This thing doesn’t work at all.
