I’ve never left an Amazon product review ever (and I buy ALOT of things on here?)!! But I had to leave a review for this dog mattress because it’s INCREDIBLE!We have a 16week old German shepherd puppy who has a disability that causes his joints to be sore & this mattress is the perfect amount of comfort/firmness to keep him comfy but also support his joints! The FIRST day we got it he kept going into his crate to lay on the bed, and he’s been sleeping 8 hours straight through the night! Not only that but once we start winding down for bedtime he goes right into our bedroom (where his crate is) and brings himself to bed! He’s only ever done that since we got this mattress so I’m convinced it’s the reason LOL!!Our dog personally loves the “cooling” side, but I love that there’s a cozy fluffy side option as well! Anyway, I highly recommend!Since we have purchased this dog bed, our dog will not sleep anywhere else. She used to just sleep in our living room carpet at times (because apparently she didn’t like her old bed). She seems very comfortable on this and it has been very sturdy!For reference, we have a 65lbs lab and she fits on it quite nicely.I don't know if this really works the way it says it does as my dogs have not yet learned to speak English :) to tell me, but they sure seem to like it, regardless. Can't speak to how easy it is to clean or durability yet as it really has not been long enough to rate those features. Test of time will tell.I’m not crazy about that, but is ok. If the back runs higher than the “mattress”, the support for my dog’s head could be the ideal… but is ok, easy to clean.This is the first time in my life that say you should trust your dog and your own opinion is actually secondary! I had bought several do beds in my house here and there so I can let my dog rest around. Most of them are too hot for dog to love it. But this one is definitely a keeper. I unwrap it and leave it on the ground. I got distracted by a phone call. Next thing I know my dog is smart enough to know this bed is for her. She is already on the bed. She even dragged the bed to her little corner! I guess this says all - it has been dog approved! What else do you even want!Cover is easy to remove and wash...my Shih tzu prefers the cool side...but may want to fuzzy warmer side this winterMy senior cat has severe arthritis and doesn't like to use soft or too firm bed. This bed has just right firmness and he likes it. The 3 inches height of this bed makes easy to walk on the bed. He likes stretching out when he sleeps, so the large size is the perfect size for him. The waterproof liner and hidden zipper design are plus, too.I bought this for my senior golden who just had surgery. He's very picky, doesn't like the unsupportive beds or anything with a lip. I have bought several beds that he wouldn't use at all. But this one he loves! A by-product of the surgery were a couple of urine leaking accident, but it was so easy to clean with this bed. Side note - his baby pup brother loves it, too! Our pup is weirdly picky and prefers the floor to most beds. But this one is cool enough that he will jump on it and nap.
